Please have your kiwibin kerbside, facing the street by 8am on your collection day.
How do I show my kiwibin some TLC?
Please treat your kiwibin with care
- Wrap or bag your rubbish first
- Keep it clean
- Don’t compact rubbish in – this can cause the bin to split
- Only fill with general household rubbish and green waste
- Don’t over-fill… the lid should be able to shut.
What can't I put in my kiwibin?
Please DO NOT put any of the following in your kiwibin, as we cannot accept it.
- Toxic, dangerous or hazardous waste including paint tins, battery oil, oil containers etc.
- Hot ashes
- Liquid waste
- Engine or car parts including tyres
- Glass or sharp objects must be wrapped
- Concrete, bricks, stones, soil or clay
- Large branches or pieces of wood
- Whiteware or microwaves
What is the Maximum Weight I can put in my kiwibin?
120 litre kiwibin - 15kg
240 litre kiwibin - 30kg
